FactFace Fact Check: McCain and Obama Points of Difference.

Please read carefully, identify issues which are appropriate to you, and choose your candidate accordingly:

McCain is White, Obama is Black (actually half and half). McCain is old (72), Obama is young (47). McCain comes from a rich family, Obama comes from poor to middle class roots.

McCain graduated from the Naval Academy (894 of 899), Obama graudated from Columbia and Harvard Law, magna cum laude.

McCain is a moderate Republican, Obama is a moderate Democrat (contrary to popular belief, he is not an Ultra-Liberal). McCain has been a senator for 21 years, Obama has been a senator for three years. McCain voted for the war in Iraq, Obama voted against the war. McCain and Obama voted against money for the troops when a timetable or lack thereof were added to the legislation. McCain voted against updating the G.I. Bill to extend full college tuition to all those who serve, Obama voted for it. McCain and Obama voted for the Bailout Bill.

McCain believes in deregulating Markets, Obama believes in regulation when necessary. McCain believes in cutting taxes for all. Obama believes in cutting taxes for anyone making less than $250,000. McCain believes in spending cuts, Obama believes in stream-lining current programs and introducing new programs. McCain supports the death penalty, Obama supports capital punishment under certain circumstances. McCain is a pro-lifer, Obama is a pro-choicer. McCain believes illegal immigrants have broken the law and should be treated accordingly, Obama believes they should have a pathway to legalization. McCain believes in deregulating Health Care, Obama  believes in socialized medicine.

Both candidates claim to be for campaign finance reform, but even with the legislation McCain co-authored with Russ Fiengold (D-WI) the system is still very broken. Both candidates claim to not take funding from lobbyists and vow to change Washington D.C. politics. Both candidates claim to be stronger on the economy, but niether know what to do with the current state of the economic downfall in America and globally. Both candidates spew rhetoric, with McCain focusing primarily on character assassination and Obama focusing on McCain’s connection to George Bush. Both candidates lie or bend the truth about the other candidate, but fact checks on McCain’s claims are usually more outrageous than Obama’s claims.

If McCain dies during his term, Sarah Palin becomes President. If Obama dies during his term, Joe Biden becomes President.

I say: Im listening to McCain’s speech during a rally in Lacrosse, Wisconsin right now. The thickness of the bullshit is breath-taking. It is the same debunked stories and misleading turns on real facts he has been feeding his base for the past few weeks. I see a desparate man who knows the odds are stacked against him with only three weeks to go before voters go to the polls. He is now pandering to any undecideds who dont know their asses from the elbows. This is not the maverick we know, he is a changed man who has been manipulated by his campaign staffers. I feel sorry for McCain, you are a broken man and politician. However, we can’t just blame McCain, his friend George Bush has set him up for failure. Thanks George.
