McCain-Palin Strategy is Character Assassination

Article by Douglass K. Daniel: Analysis : Palin’s words may backfire on McCain
This is a level-headed article which conservative republicans would deem bias, but the simple fact is McCain and his cronies are on the verge of self-imploding. Obama is a superior candidate with a superior campaign and it is wearing heavily on McCain. He is now resorting to flat out character assassination of Obama. Not that it was not beneath Clinton on her run up to losing the democratic nod, but to regurgitate this bullshit this late in the game, attempting to take voters eyes off the real issues, is well beneath what McCain has traditionally stood for. He should be ashamed of himself. When he loses this election I hope he apologizes for his misdoings and make every attempt to right his standing with the American people.
I highlighted this particular article about Palin slamming Obama for his supposed association with Ayers because of what republican strategist Joe Gaylord said…
Gaylord: “”The four weeks that are left are an eternity. There’s plenty of time in the campaign,” said Republican strategist Joe Gaylord. “I think it is a legitimate strategy to talk about Obama and to talk about his background and who he pals around with.”"
I say: Unbelievable. I am totally disgusted with this “legitimate strategy” as Mr. Gaylord has put it. In essence Gaylord is saying it is a legitimate strategy to make shit up about people in order to assassinate their character for the purposes of winning an election. It is no longer about the issues because my candidate cannot win on real issues alone. My candidate must convince the stupid voters the other candidate is a terrorist and un-American. Mr. Gaylord, if McCain wins because of this “legitimate strategy” it does not make the strategy any less scandalous. It would just prove there are Americans who have no fucking sense and should not have the right to vote.
Bottom line is, many Americans vote based upon ideals instilled in them by their parents. Ideals which have little bearing in todays world. They vote for a political party not issues which are important to them and they believe what politicians say because they do not do the research themselves. My guess is many Americans vote for the candidate who is most likely to fuck them over for the next four years never once thinking about what is really important to them or what will affect them most.
