McCain Picks VP Candidate.

Article from CNN: Palin makes history
Well, here we have it. As I watch McCain about to introduce his running mate I can’t help but think there is no way this guy will be able to upstage the speech offered by Obama last night. Did anyone else witness it? Incredible.
If only McCain supporters and others who do not take the time to learn about the candidates would take time to learn who Obama is. He is the real deal.
Anyhow, McCain has selected Sarah Palin as his vice-presidential running mate. She is an unknown social conservative from Alaska, holding the office of Governor. I do not know much about her, yet, but I can say one thing…
She is HOT!
But, looks aside, I guess it is time to learn a little about Palin. In any case I feel this is a bold move by McCain. An unknown, inexperienced, woman. Consider most voters do not take time to learn about the candidates this could be a risky proposition for McCain. He has thrown the experience factor out the window and now we are left with race versus gender. A black president or a woman vice-president (who would be president, God-forbid something would happen to McCain). My bet is on the black man, as most racists are also misogynists and my gut tells me they will lean toward the black guy before voting a woman into office. It will interesting to see how this race develops.
And only one comment to respond to, as much of the banter is Obama and McCain supporters acting like idiots:
Ben says: “Anyone else believe this is strictly political game playing by McCain… attempt to capitalize on the female Hillary supporters. Of course this will kill his “experience” argument.”
I say: Yes and yes. Clearly McCain is trying to lure disgruntled Hillary supporters as Palin addressed Hillary’s supporters in her speech today.
Risky call, and here is why…
Palin is exceptionally good looking, but she is no Hillary on a number of levels. Hillary is known, she is experienced, she brings Bill to the table, and she best represents women over 55 and the issues most important to them.
McCain and Palin showed their hand today, by mentioning the 18 million Hillary voters, and this appears to be a clear case of pandering. I just hope Hillary women are smart enough to know the difference. I believe they are.
