Rambunctious Clinton Loyalists…

Article by Errol Lewis at NY Daily News: Rambunctious Clinton loyalists make anti-war protestors look sober, savvy.

An exerpt from Mr. Lewis’s article deserves a little commentary -

“A scheduled pro-Clinton march through downtown Denver Tuesday is co-sponsored by a group called PUMA, whose initials stand for “Party Unity My Ass.”

This demonstration has no conceivable purpose other than to embarrass and weaken Obama at a critical moment in the campaign. There is no bargain to be struck, no goal that anyone can bestow on the Hillary tantrum-throwers.

They should be doing something constructive, like battling for rules changes that might enhance the importance of primaries in future contests – a change that could help Clinton down the road. Instead, PUMA members are threatening to jump ship and vote Republican.

That, to most of the 4,000 or so Democratic delegates, is treason and lunacy, to be dismissed without a second thought.”

I say: I can’t agree with Mr. Lewis more. Now, I am registered as an independant myself, so I perhaps I don’t fully understand the plight of these rabid Hillary supporters (PUMA), but this is bordering on ridiculous. To vote for the other party because you are upset with the Dems would be going against what you stand for on many other issues, I would think. Or perhaps these people do not understand or care about any other issues. In that case I would recommend they not vote in November.
